Davide de Cubellis is an italian illustrator. I don’t know much about him, but I think this piece is amazing.

Maurice Sendak died today at age 83.
The first thing most people think about when they hear his name is probably “Where the Wild Things Are” but for me it’s “In The Night Kitchen,” a story about a little naked kid who covers himself in food. Then said food gets baked into a cake, presumably to be fed to people. While the Night Kitchen may not pass its next health inspection, it was a place I loved to visit as a kid. RIP, Maurice Sendak.
Bradley Jay is an artist people should be watching. Also anteaters are creepy looking.
My beard totally looks like this when I grow it out, except instead of three bears it just looks like two old sleeping dogs.
Brandon Loving is a Savannah, GA-based illustrator. While the subject matter of some of his prints on his society 6 page are a little too ironic for me to get into, he’s got a good sense of color and some well structured drawings.
It’s something we all have to come to terms with. Drawn by pezzz.
Goni Montes is quickly becoming one of my favorite illustrators.

Some more Tomer Hanuka goodness, this time a poster drawn up for the Alamo Drafthouse theater. This poster’s pretty good but I wish it had the Baseball Furies in it.
Tomer Hanuka is an Isreali-born illustrator whose style reminds me a little bit of Frank Stockton’s, although he definitely has his own thing going on. The above illustration of a Kimakha was drawn for the book Beasts: Vol. 2, which if you’ve got the money for it is a great investment.
